IPC Celebrates 30 Years in Commercial Real Estate Business

The team at Investment Properties Corporation (IPC) celebrates 30 years in the commercial real estate business in 2006. The commercial real estate brokerage firm was founded in Naples in 1976 by Jack Conroy, CCIM, IPC’s Chairman of the Board.

“IPC has experienced a trajectory of constant growth over the years,” says Conroy. “The commercial market has matured significantly in the past 10 years, and IPC’s recognition has grown with it. The bedrock principles on which the company was founded were the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behavior. All principals have achieved the CCIM designation, which is the professional standard of the industry. And the adherence to a strict ethical code has inspired the trust of clients who have remained with the firm over many years and who have repeatedly relied on it for real estate services, in some cases for almost 30 years. It is this combination of knowledge and ethics that makes IPC distinctive.”

At its founding, IPC provided both residential and commercial real estate services.  However, in 1983, the firm was the first in Naples to focus exclusively on the commercial real estate market.   At a time when that market was much smaller than it is today, it succeeded in a highly competitive environment.

“It was a risky move to drop residential real estate,” says Conroy. “However, we recognized that we had to specialize and put our full focus on commercial real estate to provide the best possible service to our clients.”

IPC became an established leader in Naples’ commercial real estate market and has achieved a significant volume of transactions as a result. Although the company does not report total transactions, its principals are known for participating in many of the area’s major commercial real estate transactions.

The current principals joined IPC at the beginning of their commercial real estate careers in the early 80s as sales associates under the leadership of Conroy, who is now retired and pursuing a doctorate in theology at the University of Notre Dame.

“IPC has provided commercial real estate services in Naples through 30 years of growth, and we’ve seen many changes in this market,” says David J. Stevens, CCIM, a principal of IPC.. “However, through it all, IPC has always been led by the same group of professionals dedicated to the company’s original mission – to focus on providing the best commercial real estate services in Southwest Florida.”

Since 1976, the IPC team has serviced Southwest Florida with buyer and seller representation, site selection, leasing, exchanges, consulting and development services. Today, IPC is owned and operated by principals David J. Stevens, CCIM, William V. Gonnering, CCIM, SIOR, and Craig D. Timmins, CCIM. A true team approach utilized by IPC is a distinguishing feature of the firm; the IPC staff often works as a whole on each client account. IPC is located at 3838 Tamiami Trail North, Suite 402, in Naples. For more information: (239) 261-3400 (phone); (239) 261-7579 (fax); www.ipcnaples.com.
